Began with a stuffy nose.
Then we heard coughs, getting more regular.
Gave illadin, a nasal decongestant to no avail. Alex tried to use the bulb syringe to suction out the mucus but nothing came out.
Eventually brought Samsam to see GP. After few days of administering nose and cough syrups through syringe, he is finally well again. And suddenly, he can sleep through the night! Wooyeah~
It was difficult to administer the syrup via syringe. First time we shot the whole 2.5 ml of cough syrup into his mouth and he pushed all out. It was black-brown in colour, staining his shirt. He learnt to recognise the syringe and shut his mouth tightly when it was in sight. On occasions, he would cry while trying not to open his mouth, it was a comical scene. We sang songs and educated him that medicine is good for him, and promised no more medicine when he is well, towards the last dose, we were able to inject more and more of the cough syrup in one shot. He’s such a good boy. xoxo.
