6feb – 10feb, a jolly good 3+ days in ipoh with the Chews

the beginning was a fearful trip cos chew&chew drove a long way down from ipoh over to KL budget terminal to pick me up. gonna just pay for firefly to land at ipoh airport next time! so scary. the good thing is we get to drink boost 😀 mamachew didnt nag or anythg. they’re really nice, come down all the way without complaints, at least not to me 😛 on the way papachew asked to off the radio, cos mamachew found it glaring. which sparked a lil silent war. i pray that mamachew will not be too sensitive and will find joy in her life.

after following some mickey mouse and a guy with fake car plate, and crawling along an expressway with a lane of ours blocked out for the jammed folks in the opposite direction, we reached kampar at about ten.

nice supper of cheecheongfun. tho mamachew was a lil grumpy.

we played lots of chinese chess, chinese chess flipped over – ‘dumbchess’, ticket to ride. mastermind!

first time met eric. very funny boy. gg to grad, looking for job. he taught us one thg – malaysia macs can refill drink! wow.

papachew was an impressive character. when he was on leave on monday, he took time to just sit down in the living room to sew his pants. wow. amazingness.

babychew brought me to Lost World of Tambun. it’s a nice place. we had a lot of fun waiting for the owl jug to spill its tummyload of water down about 2 storeys. we found it accidentally while playing with the water slides and water just came splashing down. haha. after that it was all owl-staring.. just waiting for it to drop. picking a good spot. sometimes quite pain. babychew found a sweet spot where water doesn’t hit. sho shmart. :):)

so Ipoh is developing, lots of property springing up. babychew says KL ppl are retreating to Ipoh cos KL getting crowded. for babychew’s area, Jusco is coming. things will get moving. we had a thought abt bubbletea. then on the same night, we found a taiwanese guy who set up a bubbleteashop in the red light district. he’s pretty young, bought about 3 shops space hired young ppl to tend the shop. not many flavours, but incl hot drinks. price was steep. we wondered if papachew and mamachew would help us. should we do it like the alley tauhuay shop w the runner. who can we trust to be the runner etc. will this open a new door of opportunity?
