lx : Day 9 of Samuel Boy

More than a week has passed.

Felt like a month.

We documented every single meal, every single NTUC / wet market purchase, every single poo, pee, feed, bottle ( nan / human milk ).

Went to wet market last week, bought 4 Threadfin for $10. Saw cross section of the same fish selling for 30$/kg at ntuc. Would also buy that next time. Also bought kailan, and all sorts of vegetables. Was hunting for green papaya, white fungus, etc.

So baby Samuel seems hungry all the time, and he has taken 700 ml today. That’s enormous considering we are trying to follow the formula of 150 ml every 1kg. Since his last weight ( yesterday ) was 3.5kg, then he should be drinking about 525 ml per day. Well he’s taken 540 ml yesterday.

Generally it’s a lot of fun trying to make him sleep, and patting him while his eyes shut tight. Developed a backache because of a few times of feeding him in an uncomfortable position.

Yixin is the hardest working one, while I can only help out as much as I can.

Speedpass and Amex both arrived yesterday. Was incredibly happy.

My parents are helpful and though they just hang around, i think it’s good to have them around to keep an eye on Lan Jie. Lan Jie is helpful, and patient, and we really thank god for providing this incredibly trained hands for Samuel. Though she may seem a bit rough, it only proves that she’s as experienced as the nurses. Nurses / nursing consultants are just as rough.

Yixin had diarrhea, because of a noob nurse started giving her a full cup of the stool softener, and then the rest of the nurses followed suit.

Baby Samuel is active, and will swing his hands and legs non stop. Mittens and footies drop all the time.
