Hello Samuel

Thank God for Alex
– being with me throughout. Little nap in the ward pre op.
– entertain me pre op. He looked so good in the op gown. I was so hungry pre op n he helped to take my mind off that.
– being around when Samuel is born, taking pics. I was so groggy n light headed.
– telling me how Samuel is doing in the nursery. Nurse comb his hair, his movements just like he was in my womb. Punching n kicking.
– being himself n eating double packets for lunch. Hor fun n nasi lemak.
– super supportive holding Samuel while breastfeeding n steady swaddling Samuel n fetching Samuel to n fro nursery
– letting me drink milo
– help me to clear my milo vomit mess
– feed me porridge
– taking on the crap from nursery staff himself… He didn’t sound happy but didn’t rant to me.

Thank God for fy and clement for fetching Alex’s parents to and fro

Thankful for friends who understand our need for rest n withholding the visiting

Thankful for mum aunt Zhixin n Joseph for coming. Thankful for Zhixin for feeding me porridge n Alex could talk to MYJARS

Epidural went smoothly
C sect wound not pain
Latch on perfectly. Drinking 15 mins each side on regular 3 hr interval
Thankful for mouthwash at last on second day morning. Need a bath so badly.

Days before this, yixin was sitting on yoga ball, eating ultra spicy( to her ) Bali Thai, walked a lot, did some test with Dr Choo, but he just didn’t engage.

started washing Samuel’s clothes in batches, waiting for his arrival.

On 2nd May 2016, we reached the hospital at 630am, i think, and we did the registration, and we were sent to the bed. And me being me, inconsiderate and all, squeezed myself into the bed with her and nap for maybe 1.5 hours.

Then after a while, nurses came, and we knew it’s time. Didnt really give us any instructions, but ask me to follow. In the excitement, i didn’t bring my little canon camera, or selfie stick lol.

Was so scared that all my photos are gone, but actually it doesnt appear in the Gallery, cos it was taken with Google Photos app.

In the operating theater, i was in there for less than 10 minutes before i can hear Baby Samuel’s cry. Thank god, thank god, thank god. Thank god that samuel is good, healthy and well.

Then I went with Samuel to nursery, while Dr. Choo stitch Yixin up. I went up and took a short nap too. Then nurse asked me to go count toes, fingers, they have weigh him, etc. Later they wheel him in, he’s all fresh, and combed. LOL.

They came and went, and we tried to manage every one of them. Before this, i wanted to tell no one about this so that we can just rest in the hospital, but of course, once Samuel is out, we couldnt contain our excitement.

Set up the car seat, but realise he’s either too small, or i set it up wrongly. So then my dad carried him back home 🙂
